Hello! We are print/pdf magazine + a collective of students + young professionals. We aim to help grow creative careers. Some stuff they just don't teach you in school. That's where we come in.
Cannot get enough of Belgium illustrator, animator, and motion graphics artist Kristof Luyckx. There is this dark disturbing humor that makes us feel bad that we're laughing but, oh whatever, it's hilarious. Play this shizz on repeat. So good.
There is a buttload more of amazing on his site. We recommend no. 04, 09, and 11.
There is a lot of work we wanted to share from Kotryna Zukauskaite but we opted for a few of her animations. Kotryna's art school background is incredible (5 total and dropping out of one to pursue her passion for illustration)! The first video is from her final project last year at British Higher School of Art & Design.
The videos below are for a series for Lithuanian National Tv. The series was called "When I grow up." Here are hairstylist, musician, and president! You can see all of the animations here.
Now go check out the rest of herportfolioincluding 2D, book covers, and print work!
OMG! I found this animation by student Michael Rianda as part of his third year studies at CalArts to be profoundly entertaining. I'll tell you why:
1. I had moon shoes, and in retrospect, I wouldn't do work to get a pair. They were a huge disappointment, just like Floam (which by the way was invented by a professor at F.I.T).
2. My friend worked at a marketing agency similar to Work's Polaris Marketing and it was exactly as it is portrayed in this animation. Which makes me thankful I chose a creative field.
Thanks for the nostalgia trip Michael! You MUST check out his other animation Everybody Dies in 90 seconds from his first year at CalArts. So awesome.
