HARTFORD ART SCHOOL Faculty Exhibit 9/16
This exhibition at the Joseloff Gallery features the works by the faculty of HAS who teach in ceramics, illustration, media arts, painting, photography, sculpture, visual communication design, and foundation studies. The show runs through October 10th. More information can be found here.

Catalogue is a monthly event that showcases artists, musicians, and other creative endeavors and is hosted by Joe Saphire, Nick Rice, and Joel Vanderkemp. We've been to one, it's a super cute small salon style type of show typically in the studios above Real Art Ways in downtown Hartford. This month they have paintings and prints by Adam Machose . We're planning on going so come say hello.

PARIS IN PLANTSVILLE: Anna Mastropolo 9/25
Paris in Plantsville is a gallery in the Plantsville section of Southington started by Sean Michanczyk and Hartford Art School alumni. They have ongoing open art calls and also offer classes, host music events and showcase the work of local emerging artists. Anna is a recent Hartford Art School alum who will be showcasing her works on paper inspired by textile and organic forms found in nature.

CAN CONTROL HARTFORD: An interactive artwork with Kim Schoenstadt + the Wadsworth Atheneum 9/28
Kim Schoenstadt is a California based artist who will be exhibiting work at the Wadsworth Atheneum's Pheonix Art After Hours on October 7th. However, she needs your help. She needs you to send instructions to create a WORD, MARK, or SHAPE to the museum's email instant@wadsworthatheneum.org The instructions can be detailed or short. Kim will have the help of local artists from Mi Casa, Guakia, and the Charter Oak Cultural Center to execute the instructions on October 2nd from 10-2 p.m. at the reclaimed skate park on Main Street in Downtown Hartford.
